"Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)" (also titled "Shake Your Body") is a song by The Jacksons released as the fourth track to the Destiny album. The song was written by Michael and Randy Jackson, with lead solos solely by Michael. It was released as a single on February 10, 1979 and serves as the second single from the LP. It is the most successful single by The Jacksons in the disco/funk era.

Performances of the song debuted at the second leg of The Jacksons' Destiny World Tour in 1979. It re-appeared for all future tours by the Jacksons.
The song was also performed during the first leg of Michael's Bad World Tour and the 30th Anniversary Celebration shows at Madison Square Garden in 2001. At one point, it was going to be a part of his 2009 This Is It tour. It would be included in the Jackson 5 Medley, although it seems to have been ultimately taken out of the set list.[1]
